The Woolmark Logo.
In 1963, the International Wool Secretariat, now called Australian Wool Innovation (AWI) announced a global design competition to create a graphic identity for wool “which would hold consumer confidence and represent quality standards”, to be used internationally.
A piece of history from Creative Review. Creative review likes this logo alot, hence why they have used it as an inspiration for their cover of ‘The Top 20 Logos of all time’.
I can see why they like it, it is a very distinctive and clean design. I love the 3-D effect achieved by the lines and the flow they give.
